What I like and my chosen themes

I'm a self taught photographer / artist. Currently looking to do more photo work, and make more model contacts, something that I find has brought a lot of enjoyment into my world and something I'd like to keep doing, for as long as I feel passionate about it. It's been a great journey so far over the years and I've made a few really wonderful model contacts. I've also had an enjoyable time shooting them.

“waves to all the models”

I'm passionate about what I do and love photography, though I admit I'm doing it pretty much for myself and not for profit. Most of my work goes into my own online gallery at the moment, which is how I got started with all this in the first place, and that is constantly changing as I do more shoots, and different items are added or removed.

I have always liked the look of long fitted skirts with dressy tops or shirts, or long fitted dresses that show the shape of a woman's figure, especially the hips. I have always been fascinated old fashioned look of the 40s, 50s and the whole look of that period with the tight skirts and the way a woman could wiggle the hips and the look and shape of a tight skirt would send one wild, or a skirt with a slit down the side that showed a hint of the legs and a hint of thigh. Things like that are so much more sexy then some clothes of the present day that leave little or nothing to the imagination. Having said that I don't close myself off totally from today, it's just that, that particular look I find most fascinating and beautiful.

However that isn't to say I am stuck in that period as you can see on my main page at DA I will venture out of my comfort zone when I find an idea that interests me, or a particular look I am trying to create..... Having said that I won't go too far out of what I feel comfortable shooting. However if I do find the look of someone intereting enough I will shoot with them.

I will dare to venture out of my comfort zone if I feel strongly about an idea but i have no interest or desire to do anything relating to nude work implied or otherwise. For one thing too many other peopl are already doing that so why should I?

I find shooting dresses / skirts and clothes that show the figure much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Anyway that's about it. That's me in a nutshell.. Feel free to ask me anything if you like or would like to get in touch with me about doing a shoot. I'd like to have some more models to work with and see what we can do.

Am always open to people saying hello so if you think we could work well together send me a message and we can chat and see where it goes from there.
Interests
Not so much a journal entry as such. But anyone reading this in Adelaide I'd love to get more new contacts for photos so if you know anyone that's reliable and keen to shoot hit me up with a message on here.

nice shoot.  ever consker some fill lights?  I Iknow that theay are a hassel on location (the packing, the setting up, electricity, etc.) But it all but eliminates the shadowed face.  I piced up  pair of lights with reflector umbrellas for very cheap on Amazon.

I have thought about it. But I shoot natural light and love using light and shade...   I know what you mean but it's something I have always done....  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and that's just how I do things. You should know by shooting say 100 photos you may only get maybe 5 or so really good ones out of a shoot, maybe a few more if you are lucky......

I mean really stand out ones....  That's just my opinion Nola

Oh I know that!  I'm thrilled when I get a handful of shots that I actually *like*.  At least with digital, it's so much cheaper now!  I've spent thousands on photp processing for mostly ho-hum shots.

Hey Coco - ever consider putting some of your portraits in stock? There are so many lovely ones! I'd love to do a scene with that one of Emma on the chair with her hand lifted to her hair - very retro glamour.

Well feel free to pinch the picture and edit it...... Just give me credit as the photographer.... I don't mind I'd like to see other creative works.

Which Emma pic was it can you send me a link?

How do I put them in stock anyway? I've never thought of that

Thank you! This is the one I'd like to try something with [link]
To put something in as stock, when you submit the photograph, just select the category Resources & Stock Images > Stock Images > Model > Female > Portrait or Full body (depending on the shot)
